The T-Rex’s jaws descended on the soldier in mute fury.
Phyllis and Tom watched Jack play. “He’s just so…remote. He doesn’t talk.”
Tom sighed. “His parents abandoned him and he’s surrounded by strangers. Give him time.”
“I guess. Jack? Let’s eat.”
The T-Rex fell and Jack shuffled silently to dinner.
