Trifextra #92-Everybody Dies

Trifextra time again, hosted by the fine folks at Trifecta Writing Challenge! Every weekend we get a prompt and the challenge is to use 33 words of poetry or prose related to the prompt.

This week’s prompt comes from Maggie Stiefvater’s The Scorpio Races. The line is: “It is the first day of November and so, today, someone will die.”

“Thanks, Captain Obvious. Got any other pearls of wisdom? Maybe water’s wet or pain hurts?”

“As a matter of fact, yes. That someone is you.”

“I won’t be going alone. BRING THE PAIN!”

Word Count: 33

If you feel like playing along, use 33 words to continue the story as you imagine it from the prompt line.

Happy Reading and Writing!
