Trifextra: Week Eighty-Eight – Zombies Are The Weak Sauce of the Monster World

I charge at the shambling lake monster, for it is only a zombie.

Much better to face it than what’s behind me.

I decapitate it.

Victory!

A paw splashes the water.

Damn.

Werewolf.

  1. Given the choice, I think I’d prefer to be bitten by a werewolf. 🙂 Love your title! Nicely written take on the prompt!

    • Thank you! I would take the bite from the werewolf as well. I’d much rather be a super-fast, strong, killing machine with heightened-senses than a shambling, falling-apart, annoyance machine with a taste for BRAAIIINNNSSS.
      I’m already that 😉
I’m glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting!

  2. Werewolf yesh! haha

  3. Maybe it will pause to dine on the undead and give your character a chance to slog a little more…

  4. Well, I think this is the definition of a bad day….a REALLY bad day! But hey, if a zombie can be decapitated, maybe the werewolf can be stopped 🙂

    • Thanks for reading! Werewolves are easy–if you have silver. Alas, my character was only prepared for zombies. His only hope is that the werewolf turns him instead of making him Puppy Chow!

  5. If you have to go then, death by moonlight, after having defeated a zombie, is kinda poetic in a way. 🙂

    • Oh valiant moon
      your face shines
      upon the rot
      as I strike
      Now coward moon
      you turn away
      as death charges
      and I end

I should probably stick with prose. 😉 Thanks for reading and commenting!

  6. Talk about caught between a rock and a hard place! Love the ironic tone in this and “only a zombie”. Thanks for linking up!

  7. Haha! Very clever and funny. Good stuff.
